I am a huge believer in the Law of Attraction. Huge. It works, and there is not one single person on this planet that could convince me otherwise. But, I've also learned over the years, there are secrets to making "The Secret" so to speak work for you, and it goes beyond happy go lucky positive thinking.
I know, I know. There are a lot of you out there that roll your eyes and think it is all 'woo woo' and nothing more. Or, you watched "The Secret" and quit your job after asking the Universe for a gazillion dollars and 5 years later you are still unemployed, broke and living in your parent's basement.
I think the hardest thing people have when it comes to the Law of Attraction (or any kind of self growth for that matter), is the personal accountability that goes with it. You have to be accountable to yourself at the very least and be willing to look at yourself, within yourself and around yourself and then, be totally honest about what you see. I'm sure we can all agree, that's not always easy.
What do you want? I mean, really, really want?
I don't know about you, but I know what I want. I mean, I really, really know what I want.
On April 24th I made sure I had someone to watch my kids while my hubby was working and I booked a plane ticket to Vancouver Island to go and visit my family for a few days. I knew what I wanted and that was a break!
Truthfully, after my brother's death 6 months ago I desperately needed a soul retreat and after 36 years of being a 'good girl' and doing what I was told (well...most of the time) and always waiting for the "right time", I'd had enough of waiting for the "right time" and doing what I was told. So, I made my own "right time" and did what I wanted/needed.
While I was there, I also had the amazing opportunity to immerse myself for 4 fabulous days in wonderful meditation and intuition lectures/training sessions that a very wise man, Josè Silva, constructed himself over 50 years ago, simply as a way to help his children learn better. The classes I participated in were taught by the equally wise, funny and very down to earth Ken Coscia, who knew Mr. Silva personally. Ken has been teaching "The Silva Method" for almost 40 years now and if you ever get the opportunity to take a session with him, jump on it. I promise you will not regret it! I know for me, those four days were a defining moment in my life - and I don't say that lightly.
I'm going to talk more about "The Silva Method" tomorrow and what I have learned, but for today, aka 'Wordy Wednesday', I want you to ask yourself,
"What am I passionate about?", "What is it that I strive to have, or strive to be?"
"What am I passionate about?", "What is it that I strive to have, or strive to be?"
I want you to think about what that is that you strive for. Is it is a better job? A more successful home based business? More patience with your children? More money in the bank? A better relationship with your spouse or other family members? More time to volunteer and make a bigger difference in this world?
Anything...big or small, what is it?
Wordy Wednesday Homework...
Yes, you have homework today! :D
Assignment #1.
Today, make the time to write down three things you strive to have, or strive to be.
If I had to choose a couple right now off the top of my head, looking around from where I am sitting at my kitchen table, I would say one would be as simple as having a more organized efficient kitchen and two would be a tidier house - even though I have 3 young children I am convinced this is possible!
I'm such a MOM aren't I?! I strive for organization and cleanliness! Geeky I know, but it doesn't take much to make me happy! :D Of course I have more, and I will share them with you tomorrow but for now those are the first two I can think of.
Assignment #2
Ask yourself how much passion do you put behind what you want? And I don't necessarily mean you need to be gettin' all romantic about your kitchen cupboards! :Þ What I mean is, how badly do you want those things that you strive for, or strive to be?
Do your actions and/or your thoughts reflect how passionate you are about these things you want?
More importantly, do your actions, thoughts and words support you in what you want?
This is key. So often we know what we want but until we take a step back and think about it, we don't even realize that we ourselves are often our biggest roadblocks and biggest critics. More often than not, we are the only ones standing in our way.
Think about the following after you've written down your 3 things (or more) that you strive for:
P.A.S.S.I.O.N
Practice - How often do you actually work towards what it is you strive for?
Action - What are you doing to make what you want actually happen? Do you walk the walk or just talk the talk?
Desire - What is it you actually want and how badly do you want it?
Synergize - Are you surrounding yourself with people, places, books etc that support your goals?
Belief - Do you actually believe what you want is possible? Do you believe in yourself?
Recognition - Do you know you deserve it? Do you recognize that it can and will happen? More importantly, do you recognize the signs that pop up that show you, you are on the right track (or that you need a new path), giving you that feedback so to speak?
Expectancy - Do you expect it to happen or do you doubt it? Are you your own roadblock or do you book a plane ticket for that much needed retreat open your own doors?
Tomorrow I'll talk more about this 'secret' behind the Law of Attraction, how the Silva Method has completely and totally changed my life for the better, and how they all tie in together so seamlessly. I'll also share with you some world famous scientists, authors, publishers and more who have taken the Silva classes - a lot of names you will know and you'll realize that a lot of what they are teaching and writing about is all based on what Josè Silva created. :o)
Have a wonderful night and make sure to jot down 3 things you strive for in prep for tomorrows post!
Better and better ♥,

PS I am not in any way financially 'affiliated' with The Silva Method or Ken Coscia, I just love what they teach and it's had a profound impact on my life. Thanks for letting me share it with you. ♥
